It is all happening! The team from Stars On Ice is on site today to build the rink. It is exciting to see how they can convert an open space into a fun and fabulous outdoor ice-skating event venue.

Winter Holiday
Winter school holiday is here soon, any plan on how you are going to keep your kids entertained?
My No. 1 recommendation for a fun activity that you can enjoy with your whole family would be... outdoor ice skating at Winterlight Festival under a beautiful light show. How cool is THAT? I am sure my kids will have a great time, especially when they meet Charlie the Penguin coach. Can't wait to see the excitement on their faces!
The event is in Parramatta, I don't live around there, but it's worth the trip. Highly recommend that you book your tickets early with Winterlight Festival Online Ticket Booking. If your child is skating for the first time, remember to book the cute Penguin coach... I understand they have limited pieces. I booked 1st July session, understand that they are putting-on a special light show.
Tips: If you want to organise a big group (min.20), they can offer you a special concession rate. Check it out now!

Westfield Eastgardens
I was more than happy to enjoy a coffee break after a whole day of shopping at the Westfield Eastgardens shopping mall in Sydney, while my kids skated on the ice rink. Uniquely, the mall had a portable rink that is not made from real ice. It is actually plastics! We couldn't actually tell at first, realising it only when the children got on the 'ice' and they were having a blast! In fact my 8 years old daughter LOVES IT! She said it is easier for a beginner like her.
Ice Skating in Singapore
2 Years ago when I was visiting Singapore. Despite the tropical weather, Velocity at Novena Square had an ice skating rink installed in their main lobby....with real ice! That was a great first skating experience for my children and it was as much fun for me watching them skating while enjoying a cup of coffe on the side.
